Yes. The history is copied from chennai online. The reference also has been given and the link also has been mentioned in external links.

Giving the reference is no excuse for using somebody else's writings. Please respect copyrights. Eeekster (talk) 11:01, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I accept that we should respect copyrights. But here the content is history and that too history of the temple in my village. If I say English ruled India till 1947 and that sentence is there in some website then is that a copyright violation?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicechandru (talkcontribs) 14:16, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As reviewing administrator, I removed the copyvio portion. We do not speedy delete for copyvio if it is possible to remove the section involved.
However, Nicechandru, you followed much to closely the original. You need to rewrite it completely in your own words. In any case, you were giving what amounts to the legendary history of the temple, not the history in the usual sense, and should specify that. it is appropriate content to give a brief description of the legend associated with a temple. Try to do it in a paragraph of your own. DGG (talk) 17:29, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
