[edit]"After the Second scared war Thebes dominated the Amphictyonic League. They fined Phocis heavily for a trivial offence, which enraged Philomelus, the current leader of Phocis, who took control of Delphi"
Second SCARED war... haha... typos :D
Thanks for pointing that out to me :O I guess that’s what happens when you type articles at 2am!!! User:King Alaric
Dates
[edit]I have been editing the pages about this war. I am by no means an expert on this topic. I noticed that the dates are messed up. The article for Battle of Crocus Field (Battle of the Crocus Field?) says it took place in 352, but the article for the Battle of Thermopylae (353 BC) gives an earlier date, but claims it took place after the Battle of Crocus Field.--SkiDragon (talk) 12:37, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree with the above comment, the current narrative is in the wrong order according to the dates given. In event terms Crocus Field was indeed before Thermopylae but the most reliable date is 352 for both battles. Regret can't find a suitable source to base this edit on - someone will have to check this in the original accounts.--Dfairweather (talk) 23:33, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Philip II
[edit]The introductory section says "Philip II, not directly involved in the war, used the distraction of the other states to increase his power in northern Greece, in the process becoming ruler of Thessaly.". It seems to me that Philip was involved very directly in this - see the section "First conflict in Thessaly". So I'm amending the introduction. Bazuz (talk) 21:30, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
