Possible mistake: Verbalization (Main section- Nine dots puzzle)

This statement: 'However, a very particular kind of verbalization did indeed allow people to solve the problem better than average. This is to speak in a non-judgmental, free association style.' appears to be incorrect. I am currently doing a university project on insight and this confused me as the article that is cited does not refer to the nine dots problem. Neither does it state that verbalization *helps* in solving insight problems, but rather they were investigating whether it was a hindrance, as concurrent verbalization is a useful tool in investigating cognitive processes (however, if it affects said processes obviously much less so!).

I can't find a study that supports the statement, but want to put that out here rather than deleting the section in case I am missing something. If the reference is there it definitely needs to be shown to be referring to it more explicitly. The only reference is placed after a quotation of the instructions for thinking aloud, which is from the study I mention above (which does not support this statement!).

If there is no such study I'll delete it so it doesn't confuse others as it did me! ReggyNeeson (talk) 15:00, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
