[edit]Radio Free Asia reports that this venerable Mr. Thich has been active in various Vietnamese nationalist and anti-Chinese movements, for example to support the Vietnamese state's claim to some South China Sea islands,[1][2] and to support the fiery and flamboyant acts of self-harm among certain Chinese separatists.[3] There's a place for the information in this article somewhere, but I am waiting for better sources.
