I need some instruction on how to add compounds to the freed database - how do I calculate the polynomial coefficients for the different temperature ranges? Many Thanks!

Answer to your question: If you go to the web page thermart.net, you can download the User's Guide to FREED. That tells you how to do it. Basically, you need data from somewhere, and you can use Excel's Regression tool to fit it to a two, three, four, or however many termed polynomial.

For more information, write to the originator of FREED.--Thermbal (talk) 03:02, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Question: is FREED a commercial package? (i.e. do you have to pay money to get it?) If it is, why has it been allowed a huge free advertisement in Wikipedia? I won't bother quoting Wikipedia rules at you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.158.20.20 (talk) 20:23, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
