A editor added a group of excellent updates to the article but had a seemingly pov statement about Vail's philosophy, which seemed accurate but was, nevertheless, pov, IMO. A contemporary quote maybe. Or one from a notable individual might be better and could even go into the text itself. The current article still has a very negative POV (Vailism). A positive opinion has been included from John Brooks (writer) who indicates the influence Vail had on Arthur W. Page. We are working toward a balanced article about a controversial subject, the communications monopoly of the twentieth century. Brooks acknowledges the monopolistic machinations during his tenure. Getting beyond the hatred of the monopoly to the person who led the company is the task.Rgdboer (talk) 22:09, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
