Terminology relating to the cookie borrowers
[edit]First of all thank you for shedding light on the topic of the Leibniz Cookie conundrum. However it is unjustified to call the protagonists of the story 'thieves'. I kindly ask to refrain from defaming the heroes of the story as such. Please refer to them as 'borrowers', 'activists' or 'martyrs'. I hope to see an edit to the article. Perhaps a paragraph highlighting the heroic and selfless nature of this incident would be appropriate. CookieConnoisseur (talk) 13:46, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- While I very much do appreciate your passionate defense of the, umm, so-called "heroes", I must politely decline your request.
- Let's be real, Mr. CookieConnossseur: borrowing implies you give something back, without holding it hostage for chocolate and charity. Activists? Maybe, but usually, they don’t leave ransom notes, even fun ones. And as for martyrs - did these criminals sacrifice themselves for the greater baked good? I sure don't think so!
- And now, I do wonder, why are you so keen to adjust the terminology here? Starting to sound like someone who takes a little too much interest in the events surrounding the disappearance of the golden cookie... Might you be the author of the fabled ransom note? :O
- Are you a case for WP:COI? CrazyPredictor (talk) 21:25, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
