Reorder by genre
[edit]Hi all - in order to try to maintain some sort of chronology, this article currently mashes together a number of barely related topics and genres. As a result, very many important players and developments have been left out from the article as it stands, particularly in the twentieth century, particularly women, and anything outside Sydney and Melbourne.
I propose with your forbearance to re-order the material according to - early history; theatres and companies; live theatre; opera and ballet; film and television (is this theatre?). This will take a few days as there are many gaps to fill.
So many individuals have been involved it is hard to choose, and even so a separate section is warranted

- I have substantially enlarged the article, which now includes a range of topics from Funding to Puppetry. Most of the references are in the many subsidiary articles, but I will now seek to reference the article where possible. Evadeluge (talk) 07:46, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- I've added 32 references since the bot tagged the article for more references yesterday, but there is still room for plenty more. Several sections are untouched so far - Aboriginal theatre and Theatre today, Evadeluge (talk) 04:57, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Now 100 more citations are added, which appears adequate, so I have removed the tag. I will continue to improve this article Evadeluge (talk) 09:52, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
