[edit]the x factor nz has not aired or been prdocuced some has made all this page up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.76.66.244 (talk) 07:38, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- Someone mocked up an entire series, so I've reverted that (obviously faked based on the judges named and one of the acts being Carolynne Poole). Apparently it will actually start next year. –anemoneprojectors– 11:15, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Series 1 - separate page
[edit]So, I figure as we get closer to the broadcast of series one, it will make sense to split off the series one details into its own page. But when should this happen? Is it too early now? Should we wait until, say, the judges auditions have taken place? An air date has been announced? Robyn2000 (talk) 11:44, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Order of judges names
[edit]I would like to propose that when listing the judges, the names should be given in alphabetical order: Daniel Bedingfield, Melanie Blatt, Ruby Frost, Stan Walker. Conveniently this is alphabetical for both surnames and first names. X Factor doesn't tend to have a "head judge" type role, with each judge given an equal billing. Alphabetical order seems fairest, rather than arbitrarily favouring one over the others. Robyn2000 (talk) 10:36, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
Title of series
[edit]The official title of the series is The X Factor, not The X Factor New Zealand. At one point in 2012 TV3's early promo logo said The X Factor NZ, but all promo and titles since only refer to The X Factor. Associated social media uses NZ to distinguish it from other productions of the franchise, but the TV3 series itself is only known as The X Factor.[1] Robyn2000 (talk) 09:54, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
Just to add to this, with other countries that have shows called The X Factor, the title of their show in the infobox is just The X Factor - not The X Factor UK, The X Factor Australia, The X Factor USA, etc. The title of this page is The X Factor (New Zealand TV series), but the title of the New Zealand television programme is just The X Factor and that is what should be in the "show name" field of the infobox. Category names
[edit]For reference, as of series one the four categories are: Girls, Boys, Over-25s and Groups. The capitalisation and punctuation is based on the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject The X Factor, cross referenced with the names used on the official X Factor website.[1] Robyn2000 (talk) 01:34, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Some is making up a season 2
[edit]no word has been made yet of season 2 and yet someone has decided to annouce it and put it ont he page even using wrong citations, i am going to delete them all so far, what a waste of time — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.76.68.180 (talk) 16:44, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
The X Factor - Xtra Edition (broadcast on 24 May 2015)
[edit]Should this episode, which will consist of highlights of the second series of The X Factor, be considered an episode of The Xtra Factor or The X Factor? It is hosted by The Xtra Factor hosts, but broadcast in The X Factor's timeslot. Ollieinc (talk) 05:01, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
Third series
[edit]Mediaworks has confirmed (see article on Stuff) that a third series will not be produced in 2016. Anything that says otherwise, judges names, etc, is just fan speculation.

Natalia Kills/Teddy Sinclair
[edit]I noticed someone has changed most of the mentions of to Teddy Sinclair - this is her new professional name (although her Wikipedia page is still at Natalia Kills), but throughout the series she was still called Natalia Kills. Should it be changed back to Natalia Kills?
