No Info on lead characters in the "Characters" section

I am watching "Night of the Death-Maker" (S3E24), and when West is caught by Colin Dane, Dane says West was a major in the US Army. Since I thought West had been a captain, I went to this Wiki page to check. Surprisingly, there is not a description of the West or Gordon characters in Characters section. Instead there is a "Casting" subsection that talks about Conrad and Gordon. I think there should be subsections devoted to a description of West and Gordon characters, or separate Wiki pages for both or either of them (such as with the Angus MacGyver character from the original MacGyver series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_MacGyver ).

Besides being a former major, another bit of information about the West character was provided in "The Night that Terror Stalked the Town": Loveless had a headstone prepared for West, showing his birthdate as July 2, 1842

I'm sure once a suitable location for such information is made available, fans will slowly flesh out the details of both of their characters, their history, education (Did West go to West Point?), training (skills learned at Secret Service academy), experiences (Gordon's acting), likes/dislikes, etc. Phantom in ca (talk) 17:17, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

The trouble is, that requires citations, which most casual editors seem to think are optional. And too much minutia becomes effectively trivia. MrNeutronSF (talk) 09:21, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

If that sort of detail is okay for James Bond, it should be okay for James West! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_(literary_character) ) Just start a Wiki "Character" page. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Your_first_article) Phantom in ca (talk) 20:58, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

Gadgets Section is Getting Out of Hand

I love the gadgets as well as the next fan, but Jebus! It has seemingly grown to half the article's length. It seems that every gadget in every episode is listed. I think we seriously need to weed some out, combine some (say something like "Various hidden knives, explosives or ropes"), and get this section at least semi-literate. Half the episodes listed are coded incorrectly, with incorrect capitalization. Your thoughts? Sir Rhosis (talk) 05:09, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

Easy solution: start a new Wiki page devoted to them and have a link to it from here! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Your_first_article) That's what the do for James Bond: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_James_Bond_gadgets Phantom in ca (talk) 20:53, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
Yes, great idea. It's only getting worse. ~~ Plummer (talk) 22:00, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
