Expansion
[edit]This article could be substantially expanded. "The White Album" is a notable essay in itself and probably deserves a spun-off article when it has enough content. The other sections of the book ("California Republic," etc.) likely warrant their own subsections, with, at least, a summary of the essays and some discussion of their thematic relationship (i.e. why are these essays grouped together). Some natural other sections would be:
- Style - Discussing Didion's writing style
- Reception - Contemporary reviews of the book
- Legacy - How the book has been received since publication
It would also be nice to add information of how this book relates to Didion's other work, as her books are often seen as "companions" or sort-of sequels to each other. Geethree (talk)
