general notability guideline

[edit]

It seems that a film that has that many views and produced that much political heat, by definition, has enough notability for a Wikipedea entry. 24.228.118.92 (talk) 15:50, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Robby Starbuck with The War on Children

[edit]

This film has won no awards, hasn't received distribution apart from airing on X, and apart from Musk recommending it seems largely irrelevant. Not notable on its own and should be merged with the Robby Starbuck article. This article also tells readers almost nothing about the actual film, it;s mostly a coatrack of sociopolitical comments by others. • Comment: Note that WP:ROLLINGSTONEPOLITICS says "According to a 2021 RfC discussion, there is unanimous consensus among editors that Rolling Stone is generally unreliable for politically and societally sensitive issues reported since 2011". A significant amount of this article is cited to Rolling Stone and other relatively weak sources - see WP:DAILYDOT ("There is no consensus regarding the general reliability of The Daily Dot, though it is considered fine for citing non-contentious claims of fact"). The available sources are definitely not strong enough for a standalone article. Dreamyshade (talk) 15:54, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
