Emperor Showa

Does the book actually use "Emperor Showa" instead of Hirohito? As he his still alive at the time of the book why would it use his posthumous title? 76.66.193.119 (talk) 04:31, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Franklin Roosevelt appears

Franklin Roosevelt has an asterisk in the historical character list, indicating he is mentioned only. But on pp. 337-338 of The Big Switch, Peggy and Herb listen to him giving a speech, live.FrankTAW (talk) 03:29, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gibraltar

Interchangability of "England" and "UK/Britain"

Please stop referring to the United Kingdom as England. England is only one country within the UK. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a country which itself contains four countries within it : England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. To simply just say England to refer to the UK is to leave out the other three countries, which lost thousands of men, as well as civilians during the war.

In short, the full nation should be referred to as the UK or United Kingdom, or Great Britain(Great Britain is the island upon which the United Kingdom is based). Not just England. Reception

There have been an awful lot of bad reviews of this series from Turtledove fans because of this series's repetitiveness, predicatability (in parts) and total implausibility in others. Are there any more official reviews out there or does no-one bother to review this kind of book? FOARP (talk) 09:51, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs more proper grammar. The names of vessels need to be in italics.
