The Voice Kids

[edit]

Just because RTP1 said that 2020 isn't the year for season 2 of The Voice Kids doesn't mean it's cancelled permanently. You'll know the second RTP1 reconsiders The Voice Kids. 108.16.135.114 (talk) 12:48, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MarcioRob24: what do you mean is not working with the {{ill}} template? To me it looks normal. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 23:29, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jochem van Hees: Now it does look normal, but before I reverted it, it was just red links. All good now - MarcioRob24 (talk) 23:39, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wait, I thought you had put it back on, but you didn't; so yeah, it was just red links. And as I didn't know how it fix it, I just reverted it... - MarcioRob24 (talk) 23:42, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's on purpose; the template shows a red link and then the interlanguage link. This is to conform with the principle of least astonishment; it makes it clear that there is a link to the Portuguese article because there is no English one. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 23:50, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jochem van Hees: Oh I see. Sorry for removing it, then. – MarcioRob24 (talk) 12:24, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Grouping of cells in tables

[edit]

I noticed that in this article, basically any two adjacent cells that happen to have the same value are grouped. As far as I know the only advantage of this is that you need to do less typing. However, in many cases in this article it doesn't make much sense semantically to group the cells. Also, too much grouping makes the table look messy, and makes it difficult to make out which cells belong to which row, especially if the rows differ in height.

A particularly bad example of this is the overview section, where the sizes of cells differ wildly and inconsistently belong to multiple rows or not. Looking at the winning coach column, currently Daniela Mercury and Mickael Carreira take up the same height, however Daniela had only one win whereas Mickael had two. This is not obvious, especially because the surrounding columns are grouped too. And also logically speaking, because Mickael had two separate victories, his name should also be listed twice. I tried to fix this problem, but it got reverted.

There's other places with some strange cell grouping, such as the ratings section, but I thought I'd start a discussion before making another bold edit. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 23:48, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jochem van Hees: Hello, in the present moment I can't be helping you about this. May we discuss it later, please? Or if you'd like to, you can change what you think needs to changed, and I could give my thoughts later. Regards. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 23:18, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nininho's and Sara's colors

[edit]

If there is such a big concern about Sara's and Nininho's colors being both a shade of brown, I would suggest changing Nininho's color since he was the latest to join the franchise. Maybe switch his light brown to the first key color was given to him:   - MarcioRob24 (talk) 02:10, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That seems good. I was about to suggest the same thing as other editors are continuing to change the colors. I will go as far as saying this is a consensus since us two are the only really active editors on the Portuguese pages. Thank you for your efforts. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 17:03, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
