Incorrect information or incorrect phrasing?
[edit]"The film is notable for the performance of Veit Harlan, later the director who made the controversial antisemitic Jew Suss, as a Jewish barber in a film made by a director who would later died [sic] in the holocaust."
Not only is this sentence redundant, but when I first read this, I wasn't certain if this was saying that the director of Jew Suss, Harlan died during the holocaust. He died in 1964. However, he was tried for war crimes during the post-war denazification of Germany. When I reread it, I then realised the phrase was actually talking about the director of Die Hose, Hans Behrendt who did in fact perish in Auschwitz in 1942. If that is indeed the case, the sentence really needs to be reworded for clarification. It sounds like (on first glance) that it's referring to Harlan and not Behrendt. Yes, it mentions that in Die Hose, Harlan portrays a Jewish barber, though the inclusion of "in a film made by a director" makes it appear like the article is discussing another film and not the film that is the subject here. The fact that Harlan later went on to make Jew Suss should be mentioned separately and the notable trivia concerning Behrendt should be made over completely. 2600:8801:2C81:9F50:981D:CEC5:439:EF68 (talk) 00:07, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
