Freya Aswynn
[edit]"Freya Aswynn" redirects to this article but there's no mention of her in it. What's the connection? 216.67.29.243 (talk) 06:38, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
- Good question. Drmies removed it with this edit. As you can see, she was mentioned in a short section on the foundation of Troth-affiliated organizations in Europe, and the reference was simply to her being author of a book. Drmies also merged Eldaring into the article as not independently notable. I think it would be good to look for references to see whether Freya Aswynn can come back into this article; if a reliable source can be found connecting her to The Troth in an important way, she should get added back. Otherwise that redirect should probably be put up for deletion. I have the article watchlisted; please jog my memory if you haven't found anything in a week or two, and I'll have a look. OK? - I just added back a very short paragraph about the UK/Europe affiliate, mentioning her. For more information on her, old versions of the article about her can be seen by clicking on the Freya Aswynn redirect and looking at the History page; or to save trouble, here that is. - Thanks for the clarification and for adding the info. It's much appreciated. 216.67.36.49 (talk) 22:27, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Ben Waggoner
[edit]Ben Waggoner, a biology Asst. Prof. at U. Central Arkansas, is also a "shope" (scop?) or some sort of scribe for The Troth.[1] His profile seems worth adding.
Though he has published saga translations with notes, I don't think these are book-reviewed in academic journals (JSTOR only register hits on Waggoner that are paleontology-related). And the books are published by the Troth (an Asatru organization, not WP:REPUTABLE publisher) via black-listed Lulu.com, and Wikipedia wants to block you from citing Lulu books altogether. --Kiyoweap (talk) 05:04, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
