Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is a significant three-way bridge, one of a handful in the world. There are three other three-way bridges in Michigan, including The Tridge (Midland, Michigan). --Magnolia677 (talk) 03:53, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sources showing it meets WP:N would be a good idea, but bridges can't be speedily deleted under A7. WilyD 07:41, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sources are slim; just a line or two on the Ypsilanti, Michigan website. I stumbled across this article when writing the three-way bridge article. This bridge is listed on a number of non-Wiki websites as an example of a "three-way bridge", but none describe its architecture. This certainly seems a non-notable bridge, if not for its particular design. I'm not sure if this on its own merits an article. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:39, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in a deletion discussion, WP:N is likely to be the deciding line. If there isn't much in the way of sources beyond one line mentions, merging and redirecting to Ypsilanti or some daughter article might make sense. WilyD 11:03, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
