A fact from The Treasure of the City of Ladies appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 13 May 2014 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Even though it's called that in the source, I think 21 surviving manuscripts are not "a few". At least it confused me. Would this passage be better off without "a few" or am inflexible there? Also, I think "bestow" sounds like the naming was part of a grand design, even though the name is quite straightforward, almost not a name. Perhaps "given" is better? Hekerui, I think that's the genesis of the writing: one of the sources, if I remember correctly, talked about "a few" and then I found the higher number, but never tweaked it.
