Translation of one of their songs
[edit]Not sure if it merits mention in this article, but Dan Helciug of the reasonably prominent Romanian band Spitalul de Urgenţă recently (2005) translated and covered the Tiger Lillies' song "Whore". I've mentioned it in the Spitalul de Urgenţă article. I leave it to someone who's been actively working on this one to decide it's notability in this context. - Jmabel | Talk 00:19, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Band Name
[edit]On the UK's Bravo channel, maybe 10 years ago, the Tiger Lillies were used in an ad break filler, a little 2 minute film of them. In it, Martyn Jacques explained to the camera that the band were named after Tiger Lilly, a prostitute who wore a tiger skin. So the story might not be true, but it's directly from the horse's mouth. More than a simple rumour.
