Ages of the two leads.
[edit]Joseph Schildkraut (born 1896), who played "The Young Man," was five years older than Roman Bohnen (born 1901), who played "The Old Man." Bohnen frequently played characters older than his actual age. In the film version of Of Mice and Men (1939), he played the elderly Candy; he was 37 at the time. In "The Best Years of Our Lives" (1946), he played the father of the Dana Andrews character. Bohnen was a little more than seven years older than Andrews.Maccb (talk) 18:14, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
