Separation?
[edit]Shouldn't there be separate pages for the novel and the film? Aapold (talk) 14:25, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed there should be. I'm not the man to write it, but you are correct. =//= Johnny Squeaky 02:41, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
I do not understand
[edit]By mistress, do they mean wife? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.62.109.225 (talk) 21:15, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
- I concur. This should be checked and, if necessary, corrected. --Mortense (talk) 11:07, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- When he arrived at the embassy, the Ambassador said he was the one banished for an affair with the foreign minister's wife. Osnard corrected him saying his affair was with the minister's mistress, not his wife. Aapold (talk) 00:41, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
Plot
[edit]The current version (before I edit it) reads: "Osnard is shot by Pendel while trying to flee to the airport." That is a scene that occurs only in an alternate version available as a bonus feature on the DVD release. In the theatrical release, as well as the standard version on DVD, Osnard makes it to the airport and gets away with the money (sans the bribe he paid to the ambassador, who helps him get to his plane). Cast
[edit]There were many inaccuracies in the cast, especially on Catherine McCormack's character, which implied that she turned Osnard in. She did not in fact do this, she instead accompanied Osnard on the plane as he made his getaway.
The entry for Pendel implies that he burned down his uncle bennie's tailor shop. His uncle was never tailor at all. Pendel did commit arson for his uncle, which he served time in jail for. He learned the tailoring trade in prison. When he arrived in Panama he made up a better history for himself, as the representative Braithwaite & Pendel, a prestigious Saville Row tailor shop. He cast his uncle as his elder partner, Braithwaite. Aapold (talk) 00:44, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
