[edit]Could I put this song in "Category:List of songs whose title doesn't appear in the song" because it never says "The Sweet Escape" in the song, it say "Sweet Escape", but the song is called "The Sweet Escape". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Andyroost (talk • contribs) 20:47, 25 January 2007 (UTC).
- No, because as a matter of fact "The Sweet Escape" can be heard during the third chorus. Velten 02:02, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Chart debut
[edit]Velten seems determined to remove a cited piece of information in the article about the song's chart debut, as he or she has done this twice now. I don't care if he or she wants to remove uncited things (of which there are plenty), but cited information must not be removed. Everyking 20:08, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'd forgotten that it was referenced. Yes, that was my fault! I'll make sure to watch it next time. Velten 00:16, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Charts
[edit]Since they seem to keep popping up, the following charts should not be added to the table: iTunes, any video program (TRL, MuchMusic, Yahoo! Music), Hot 100 Airplay, Pop 100 Airplay, Hot Digital Songs. Also see Wikipedia:Record charts. ShadowHalo 00:50, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I was editing the chart section and now the tables have gone at the right side of the page!!!!! What can I do
Another Stefani single for FA status?
[edit]Because of this song's blatant popularity, I think that it would be appropriate if it is prepared for FA status, which two other Stefani singles have already attained (Hollaback Girl and Cool (song)). I'm going to begin searching for many references and hunt down information on the song's theme, which I've been unsuccessful at locating thus far :(. Help is always appreciated! Velten 15:39, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'll have another look for the sources for the 80s influence thing.Nukleoptra 19:14, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Australian Charts
[edit]My addition (#2 on Australian charts) was edited out? Why? Martyy1 06:43, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
iTunes
[edit]This song is at both #3 and #9 on iTunes (something noted on Akon's singles when they did the same) ... is it noteworthy here, especially since this song has already been out for quite some time and just recently saw a sales resurgence since being on American Idol?
- And now #3 and #6 ...
US Single?
[edit]Does anyone have a source for that tracklisting? I've looked around a lot but haven't been able to find any CD with the Konvict Remix on it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.107.81.108 (talk) 01:08, 5 April 2007 (UTC).
Akon
[edit]Anyone know what Akon was paided for going "woooo hooooo" a few times? Buc 15:37, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Charting Table
[edit]Why is the song's charting table week wise on United world chart and Billboard hot 100 was removed? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.18.140.127 (talk) 14:58, 6 May 2007 (UTC).
- Chart trajectories are considered an indiscriminate collection of information. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Record charts. ShadowHalo 03:33, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Most successful song
[edit]in another week, the song will defeat Hollaback girl when it comes to UWC points, thus becoming gwen's most successful single to date.Hollaback girl had total UWC points of 4.4 milion...the sweet escape is already 4.3 million and still in top 10.Thus, as the sweet escape will be the most successful single of her,it should be mentioned...but,can anyone source it?? luxurious.gaurav
The song has defeated Hollaback Girl and is now THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SINGLE BY GWEN....it has 4.5 million UWC points by now if my calculations are not wrong....while Hollaback Girl had 4.4 million UWC points....my point is not about the points.....i am telling that it should be mentioned that the song is the most successful song by Gwen....i think this is the most important thing to be written in the article.....please consider this....and about sourcing this.....we know its impossible as there is not site which keeps record the the UWC points of singles User: luxurious.gaurav
The song has currently 4.8 million UWC points.Far more than Hollaback Girl. User: Luxurious.gaurav
THE SONG CROSSED 5 MILLION UWC POINTS THIS WEEK.CLEARLY THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SINGLE BY HER. User:luxurious.gaurav
5.28 million UWC points. User:Luxurious.gaurav
Australia
[edit]The song has peaked at number 2 in australia and stayed there for 6 weeks.I saw it in the article ARIA Charts. If you want the source, then take it through the aricle.User: Luxurious.gaurav

Current Single status?
[edit]Can anyone tell that when will the current article status of this article will be removed.Because this article seems to be great and furthur steps can't be taken till it is a current single. User:Luxurious.gaurav
- The tag has been removed by me. I don't believe there are any grounds to believe it is a current single, given it was released six months ago and Stefani has since released another single (which is itself two months old). Anyone disputing this are welcomed to explain their dispute. LuciferMorgan 14:52, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
2nd to Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right"
[edit]I know it says in the chart performance that it was number 1 for 8 weeks on the UWC, and had over 6 million sales, but I think fans might be interested that on the UWC it has the 2nd most sales to Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right", so far. My source is on the wikipedia page, '2007 In Music'.

Successful good article nomination
[edit]I am glad to report that this article nominee for good article status has been promoted. This is how the article, as of August 20, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: All fine, very well written
- 2. Factually accurate?: One point - The first line in the music video section definatly requires citation, this is the only point I found with regard to references and as such I felt it was still ok to pass.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: very
- 4. Neutral point of view?: article remains neutral and balanced throughout
- 5. Article stability? no edit wars or constant major changes except those leading up to the GA nomination
- 6. Images?: all images have fair use rationales and copyright tags including the audio
If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to a GA review. Thank you to all of the editors who worked hard to bring it to this status, and congratulations. — Andyreply 00:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Info?
[edit]The song made to chart at number two three on Billboard's 2007 year-end chart. BritandBeyonce (talk) 10:41, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- No, it came third. It was behind Irreplaceable by Beyonce Knowles and Umbrella by Rihanna. This is mentioned in the article. You may confirm it through the source. Indianescence (talk) 17:27, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- I mean three. It was just an "error".hehe. I was in a hurry when i was typing this. Anyway, congrats to her. --βritandβeyonce (talk•contribs) 12:19, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
