[edit]This claim is made a couple of times and is completely unsourced and hyperbolic. Where does it come from, exactly? Albums were released digital only without promotion all the time prior to 2016. 86.174.20.109 (talk) 21:41, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
This claim is effectively very ridiculous, and I don't see any source to back it up. Surprise albums were not invented in 2016 Florence and the Codeine (talk) 21:09, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
