Move page?
[edit]A couple of searches on google books (yes, I know, only the first step towards actually ascertaining anything worth ascertaining, but still) suggest that the more common English version of the title is Kisokaidō rather than Kiso Kaidō. Any objections to a move? --Paularblaster (talk) 00:09, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- Works for me. Noel (talk) 01:33, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
Towards a table of the 69
[edit]It seems natural to make a table of the 69 stations, as was done for the 53 in The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō article. I will try to start this, using images available in the Wikimedia category, but I would appreciate help, criticisms, corrections from persons more informed than me. :P One concern relative to the 53 article is that here maybe here it may not be possible to find print images all from the same edition. --doncram 23:45, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
A newbie here: The Kiso Kaido has 12 post stations. The Nakasendo has 69 stations. I hiked the Kiso Kaido and it certainly has not got 57 stations hidden away somewhere. -- Robertson Adams / Miami. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertsonadams (talk • contribs) 20:19, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
Kuniyoshi series
[edit]In my experience, the Kuniyoshi series of the same name is more common, and possible better known. (I have yet to apply the Google count test.) My suggestion is that this page should be renamed to The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaidō (Hiroshige and Eisen), a The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaidō (Kuniyoshi) page be created, The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaidō become a disambiguation page, and this page redirected there. Oh, and Toyokuni III has a series of that name, too. See here for an example. Noel (talk) 01:42, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
