Question
[edit]since this is a prequel to The Scorpion King, should it be wriiten in infobox as "followed by The Scorpion King". like how the star wars people have their movies. I think it should go chronologicaly as how the story goes, not when the movie was released. Gman124 (talk) 16:37, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- and i think on scorpion king in infobox it should be written "followed by The Mummy" since the story in scorpion king takes place before the Mummy movieGman124 (talk) 16:38, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Though (unlike Star Wars), the stories aren't really linked and have many inconsistencies. -- Beardo (talk) 12:20, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Has anyone else noticed the multitude of inaccuracies and discrepancies with the original Scorpion King, including
-Mathius has 2 brothers in both films, however one runs away and the other is killed in the Rise of a Warrior, while both are still alive at the beginning of The Scorpion King
-How is Mathius the last of the accadians? This isn't referred or alluded to even once in the Rise of a Warrior
-wasn't Hammurabi king of the Babylonians?
-Why doesn't Mathius have the sword in The Scorpion king?
lastly i have one question on a different track, does anyone have the feeling that the beginning part of the story was written by a veteran writer, who then around when Mathius goes to join the black scorpions, who then died and was replaced by a very inexperienced one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.78.11.108 (talk) 23:56, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
- The other Accadian in the first movie wasn't identified as his brother, he did have a sword, and there could have been more than one Hammurabi. Emperor001 (talk) 18:35, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Sardon?
[edit]UFC World Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture appears in the movie as the lead villain, Sardon.
- Are you sure its not Sargon? From what I know, there is no name "Sardon" in Akkadian, only "Sargon" i.e. "Sargon of Akkad" 220.237.11.99 (talk) 20:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Plot needs to be rewriten
[edit]The plot summery for the movie is poorly written, as if the individual who wrote it did not have a firm grasp of the English language. Can someone rewrite it so it reads easier instead of the current fractured version? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.77.178 (talk) 21:34, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I know that, so I made my own plot when watching the movie, enjoy. - Arkillion —Preceding unsigned comment added by ArkillionX (talk • contribs) 22:41, December 21, 2008
- For the record, the comment you are replying to was made before I rewrote the plot. You can tell that because none of that user's criticism apply to the version that was there before you rewrote it, which make me wonder why you said "Yeah I know", unless you looked up the old version in the article's history. Anyway, the version you wrote is way too long, even longer than the one that was here before I started. I would add a {{plot}} tag, but it's better to just revert it to something better. I don't give a shit what you say. Your plot sucked dick and so do you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ArkillionX (talk • contribs) 14:10, December 22, 2008
And it still has many, many inconsistencies, it is poorly written and quite frankly needs rewriting. I can sum it all up by quoting the end of it... "but Mathayus decides to live a life of adventure, traveling through the desert on his camel, who shall one day be known as the Scorpion King". Ah, I had no idea at all that the Scorpion King, in fact, was a camel. Yeah, someone rewrite, please? -Anonymous, 12/8/2009 (To confused people: it is day, month, year) 14:06, or, New York time, 8/12/2009 7:06 (month, day, year) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.249.81.41 (talk) 11:10, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Aristotle?
[edit]Am actually watching the film right now and the accomplice does not call himself Aristotle, he calls himself Aristopholes/Aristophones (Ah-ris-toff-o-lees). 87.127.178.28 (talk) 21:20, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- The article now says Aristophanes which is what it sounded like to me. -- Beardo (talk) 13:30, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Release
[edit]The stated release dates have now passed. Can they be confirmed ? -- Beardo (talk) 12:34, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Opening Line
[edit]Wow that opening line is a mouthful, does it have to be shoved down the readers throat as soon as they enter the article? Can't it be moved to the "production" section or something?
