This page is loaded with POV. I'm gonna do what I can to fix it, but I have little knowledge of The Rockers, bar what I've read in Michaels book. Killswitch Engage 15:46, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Janetti getting thrown through a window
[edit]"The turn had the desired effect of making Shawn a hated heel (bad guy) especially since the WWF agreed to let Marty Jannetty "blade" (make himself bleed) after being thrown through the window, something which wasn’t very prevalent in 1991"
Exactly how was the blood faked when he smashed his face through the window? I don't see how you can fake something like that. The glass didn't seem to be fake, it shattered into pieces, and his face was clearly bloody, I remember seeing it.
I know there's something called juicing in which pro-wrestlers intentionally give themselves a little scratch, which heals very quickly, but the blood was immediate and apparant, it seemed very real to me. The snare (talk) 02:14, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- You apparently don't know what blading means right? it means that Jannetty cut himself to make him bleed - nothing face about that, nothing in the article indicates that it was fake blood, they just faked that it was the glass cutting him but he was indeed cut. Yes, I do know what blading/juicing means, I stated this in the paragraph above yours, don't you see it? I just question exactly how you could fake something like smashing someone's face through a window, as far as I know there is no glass you can smash with your bare flesh and not get cut. There were streams of blood down his face, a lot of it, and none before he got his face smashed through it. We don't see him cut himself either. The snare (talk) 06:17, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
- You fake it just like any movie or TV show where someone is thrown through the glass or hit with a glass bottle that shatters. MPJ-DK (talk) 07:43, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Could you explain how? Smash your head through a (closed) window and see if it doesn't bleed. I know what blading is, giving yourself a scratch and it bleeds, but it happened immediately after his head shattered the glass, I don't think anyone can cut themselves that fast. Movies and tv shows are a different story, they have time to edit the video and scenes, and arrange them before the final product but this was live. The snare (talk) 02:20, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- It wasn't live TV though and there was time to do it even it it was, you only need a moment - they wouldn't seriously use REAL glass, that could have seriously injured Jannetty or killed him, that's just preposterous. MPJ-DK (talk) 05:06, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Ok, so it wasn't live and they could edit it. But what was the material his head went through then, clearly we see it shatter, so it certainly wasn't anything soft. The snare (talk) 04:33, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- First off wrestlers only need split seconds to blade during matches, happpens all the time. And like I said, it was not real glass but fake glass that breaks without hurting anyone, they use it in films all the time, I mean no one in the movies are hit with real glass bottles or thrown through real windows. - It's called candy glass. Crash Underride 12:23, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
