Cleanup Taskforce log

- I guess this could use application of a band template. -- Beland 01:22, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- I'm closing it. Still a stub but far better. :-) DoubleBlue (Talk) 03:09, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Notable?
[edit]I added an importance-music template. Does anyone know if it meets WP:MUSIC criteria for inclusion? RJFJR 15:55, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
I suspect it does:
- Amazon has three of the albums listed available. [1]
- Grace note lists all 6 albums as well: [2] (criteria requires 2 on a major label)
- about 205,000 ghits [3]
- This site lists a national tour in April/May 2006 [4] (criteria is satisified if the band tours nationally, but requires reporting of that in notable or verifiable sources, this site isn't that per se)
(I admit bias, this band is liked by my daughter, who has several of their CDs, (purchased through normal mass market music channels, not CDBaby), although I don't care for them)
Hope that helps! ++Lar: t/c 14:39, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Bedroom Heroes
[edit]Someone should (probably will be me) add the frontman's former (and in my opinion) much better band The Bedroom Heroes.

Solo Album?
[edit]The central figure in this band (and the only consistent member), Ryland Bouchard released a solo album on his own label, Swim Slowly in 2008 in the form of a box set. I added this to the list of albums here, but should a separate page be created for solo work, or should that wait until more albums have been released under that name? I see there was some suggestion of non-notability above, but I can provide ample sources for The Robot Ate Me's notability, though not perhaps his solo work. I think I just answered my own question, so I'll go ahead and add the solo album to this page.--Tinyfolk (talk) 18:05, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Partiality
[edit]I removed the comment about how the band "tend to either annoy or astonish".--Tinyfolk (talk) 18:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Description of Daniel Johnston
[edit]I think that describing Daniel Johnston as a "notable touring act" is inaccurate. He has toured very, very infrequently throughout his music-producing years. Wikigreenwood (talk) 19:09, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
