Shitty Wiki Entry

[edit]

What makes this Wiki entry about his song suck? I'll tell you: there is nothing about the meaning of the lyrics, and no effort was made to have Billy Joel say something about the lyrics. What inspired him to write them? What is the symbolic meaning? Was there something happening in his life that caused him to write these lyrics? These are the real questions that matter. But, when you look at the entry its all about the usual fucking "how much money did it make", "did it make Casey Casem's top 10", which record company produced it. This is why USA sucks shit: this fixation with money and corporate profits frames EVERYTHING----even a spiritual song in Wiki is only talked about in terms of commercial popularity and how much fucking money it made. Fucking awful, USA is.

Lawsuit

[edit]

Should mention the lawsuit involved with the song (Gary Zimmerman claimed River of Dreams and We Didn't Start the Fire were cribbed from his 1986 song Nowhere Man. JAF1970 (talk) 01:34, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gary Zimmerman

[edit]

Does anyone have a copy of Gary Zimmerman's Nowhere Land, if it does exist at all? I tried searching on the internet for a while and found nothing. 73.238.224.103 (talk) 03:35, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What's more, the source for that claim doesn't exist. Source 4 is 404.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.43.226.172 (talk)

I added an archive link, you should be able to view it now.--Commander Keane (talk) 07:54, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
