Flingle or Flingel? The record label says Flingle, and that's how I remember it from way back way way back. 91.223.107.35 (talk) 09:40, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Right you are. I posted the label and did not even notice the spelling. Good catch, Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 15:19, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
The spelling on the label of the original Columbia single (DB 7261) which I bought in 1964 and still have, is 'Flingel'. David Rayner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidRayner (talk • contribs) 08:34, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
Parlophone
[edit]Curious to see a Shadows record on Parlophone, but it says 'Philippines' round the edge. Rothorpe (talk) 02:16, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- For a little backfill, the record was one I got while in high school in the Philippines. There was a pretty lively record industry there but it is not surprising that a few deals were probably made in smokey back rooms that allowed this sort of thing to occur. Spelling
[edit]I was surprised to see a redirect from Flingel to Flingle, and not the other way around. Some images [1] [2] show the original UK spelling as Flingel. Joeinwap (talk) 08:40, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
