Deletion of Images
[edit]It seems like a total shame to me to delete the images included with this article simply on the "word" of a bot and because of the relative obscurity of the band involved I imagine that they will not easily be replaced.Deconstructhis 19:00, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Updated Copyright Image Information
[edit]All of the images, marked for deletion, have now been properly Summarized, as well, the PROPER copyright / Fair Use Rationale has been updated. Thank-you everyone who helped, there were many of you, and it was my initial Newbie ignorance, buy not properly uploading, and entering the license information, my errors, got these Images nominated for deletion. Recent Revisions
[edit]I want it to be clear from the onset that although the current version of this article has many problems, in my opinion The Revols as a group merit this article in Wikipedia. Quite frankly, the recent edits read like a draft that someone might write in an attempt to put a book 'pitch' together for a potential publisher, in my opinion, both the tone and large portions of the current content are at present unencyclopedic. At present, the article seems very slanted toward promoting the purported influences and contributions of certain individuals and it is impossible to sort it out without proper referencing and footnotes from reliable sources included in the article. Rather than plaster it with citation request tags (which other editors may do anyway) I'd like to give the contributor a chance to do some cleanup work themselves on the article. Please don't just give up, remember even properly referenced newspaper and magazine articles are sufficient to bolster the reliability factor, there's obviously someone out there who has a wide knowledge of the circumstances surrounding this band, what's needed are reliable third party sources and a change in 'tone'. At present, as "The Hawk" might say, "this dog won't hunt". Don't give up. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 05:55, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
I Agree with Deconstruct This
[edit]An editor added Promotional, Here-say, and non historical information, and praises of the Band's Manager, and turned the article into, "More claim's to this fame" with no reference material, or published quotes added. It seems as though an agent for the Band's previous Manager, added all of these edits, as they were all about Dave Michie, whom is already credited in the article, on an historical basis, and the new edits were all about, "What a great Job" he did, and how it was "His connection" and "His Ideas" that propelled the band. This is not a neccisary edit, and I have reverted the article, back to it's much smaller, but much more "Encyclopedic" version. I'll also be adding, that the City of Stratford, will be dedicating their Band Shell, in Upper Queens Park, to it's Stratford Resident members of The Revols. Ken Kalmusky, John Till, and Richard Manuel. I will NOT however, be writing about "Who's idea it was". Qwepasdl (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 03:58, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
