Talk:The Really Terrible Orchestra

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't see why this shouldn't stay - its a real orchestra, performs at the Edinburgh Festival each year, has had a film documentary made about it in 2005 [1] . It is a bit silly perhaps but there's an interesting point - why shouldn't people who aren't particularly good be allowed to make music?

It's also become quite famous because of the references to it in Alexander McCall Smith's books and people who read about it there may wish to find out more.

I agree, the title may perhaps come up in wiki software as being silly but if they actually read the article i'm sure there will be no problem

New York Times article

This NY Times article may provide some good reference for the article: [2] --Larrybob 21:52, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article rewrite

[edit]

I reworked the article to make it more in keeping with wikipedia standards. While I understand that the whole rationale for the RTO is all in fun, on wikipedia, "rules is rules". Sorry if anyone is bothered. DJRafe 19:23, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
