'The film was originally intended to coincide with the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1936. However, its release was delayed until the following year.'

The coronation of George VI was never scheduled for 1936. He only succeeded to the throne, unexpectedly, in December of that year, and was crowned in May 1937 - on the same day, I believe, that had been intended for the (aborted) coronation of Edward VIII.
