Just curious why "Kill Me" is listed in a separate table as a "promotional single" when the song article refers to it as a single, and otherwise meets the general criteria for an official single (it has official cover artwork, is available for individual purchase from reputable digital retailers, and has charted). Generally, I would take initiative and move it back, but someone has placed a comment by the song specifically asking contributors not to do that, so I figured I'd open the discussion up to others more familiar with the band and/or the "rules" for classifying musical releases. What do people think - single or promo single?
For reference, in a similar situation to "Kill Me", Colbie Caillat first released her 2013 single "Hold On" as the intended lead single for her then-forthcoming album, Gypsy Heart, then decided not to include it. On her discography, it is still listed in the "Singles" table, but simply has the N/A template in the album column - it doesn't need to be affiliated with an album to be a single. See also Kelly Clarkson discography and her single "Tie It Up". And "A Moment Like This", for that matter. Songsteel (talk) 01:48, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've always considered "Kill Me" as a single. It used to be on the singles table when I nominated this article for FL but I guess someone moved it to promotional singles table. We should move it back. decodet. (talk) 13:15, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
