Dead YouTube Link
[edit]Is this movie still available on youtube? The link is dead. Likely it should be removed, but I think it would be better if it were replaced with an active link.Wcbpolish (talk) 12:51, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
From it.wiki
[edit]Hello to all of you; my name is Marco, and my nick in it.wiki is LaudatoSi. I am Italian, so I can talk and write better in Italian than in English; I hope you will excuse me ( and correct me...) for my poor language. However, I think I can carry something important from italian page about this argument. In fact, English version doesn't says anything about contents of Photo Drama.
Witnesses still trust in Russell's calculations of years, and I don't want to offend anyone for his trusts. However. in italian talk page (named “discussione”), I gave an exemple for displaying this theory is really arbitrary and self-referring, and far from Bible word, according with Russell's words. In fact, you can take the “scanned PDF” and find these words:
at page 5, “We follow the theory that each of the Seven Days of the Creative Week was a period of seven thousand years. This, seven times seven thousand, equals forty-nine thousand years, ushering in a grand Jubilee Epoch."
at page 10: "In this presentation, we are following a line of thought which seems to be growing in acceptance among Bible students."
The first sentence don't says why Russell follows this theory instead of another.
The second one tells us why he chose it: because it is growing in acceptance among his disciples. But their trusts were teached by Russell, so this theory is self-referring.
Thank you for your attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.71.238.172 (talk) 09:23, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
- Including arbitrary elements of the content from the Photo Drama in the article seems a bit like original research, as does the commentary about it being 'self-referring'. If particular elements of content are to be highlighted in the article, they should really be sourced from third-party sources.--Jeffro77 (talk) 11:19, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
External links
[edit]A number of IP editors have recently attempted to add a link to the Jehovah's Witnesses official website. Jehovah's Witnesses did not exist at all when the Photo-Drama was made, and the Photo-Drama depicted various beliefs distinct from those of Jehovah's Witnesses. The website home page does not contain any information relevant to this article. Linking to the site is tangential at best and promotional at worst. Do not re-add the link.--Jeffro77 (talk) 12:10, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
