Archiving

Articles are now being archived too quickly, so that a new editor cannot appreciate what has gone on before. The archiving date needs to be lengthened IMO. Student7 (talk) 16:19, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Annex

The Navy Annex is not mentioned in here, though, being an annex, has to be an annex to something! (for the record, it is mentioned in the Pentagon Memorial article).Student7 (talk) 16:19, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Alternative "theories"

Why are those so called "conspiracy theories" not even mentioned? I think people deserve to know them, just in case they were true. Acctually there are dozens of evidence supporting these "theories" so they are no longer theories, they are probabilities. Personally, I consider it a great scandal, that the article is constantly being censured like in dark age of stalinism in communist Europe or in Orwell's books.--83.12.91.242 (talk) 14:58, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Huh? What theories? For starters, nobody in this country can keep a secret for ten minutes. Just ask the current administration! Dark conspiracy theories exist mainly in peoples heads. If you have WP:RELY documentation, try them here. Student7 (talk) 22:38, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Of course I do not have so called "wiki reliable sources" because the forces controlling wikipedia (wikipedia: the free encyclopedia is just a hollow slogan for long time now) will NEVER allow 9/11 researchers' sources to be taken under consideration as such (i.e. wiki reliables) so it is practically impossible. Anyway, I still think that people who visit wikipedia DESERVE to know, that there's more to 9/11 thing than meets the eye, that there are OTHER than official versions of events, and last but not least, thaht these OTHER theories are acctually way more proven or ducomented (and eventually - believed) than so called official story. It is really hard nowadays to find an internaut who doesn't think/know that 9/11 was a scam and an inside job.

BTW I think this puts a new light onto the pentagon question: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/124500 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.12.91.242 (talk) 10:39, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Why the random editing activity? Fake virus message

More about the fake virus message here.

Knowing it was probably fake, I didn't report it, but later I realized I hadn't and thought I should. Since I was no longer at that library, I had to think how to describe which computer in one of two pentagonal or hexagonal arrangements and ... hey, I never did get around to figuring out which side of the Pentagon was hit on 9-11. I started looking at this article last 9-11 or around that date.

And now you know why this series of edits happened so randomly.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 23:20, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Graphic size presentation

An editor has presented a highly interesting and useful graphic presentation of the expanse of the pentagon compared to the length of various other notable structures. This should stay. Nevertheless, a comparison of floor space compared to other notable structures, Empire state, old World Trade centers, etc. might be a bit more objective as to size. Office floor space vs office floor space. Student7 (talk) 21:44, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Mediawiki talk?

Is it just me or is the page called mediawiki talk:the pentagon? --Riotrocket8676 You gotta problem with that? 03:48, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

It is for me as well, but only when I'm not logged in, how odd. Harland1 (t/c) 15:41, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Question: did the architect of the DoD Pentagon perhaps know the Pentagon in the harbour of Ancona, Italy?

Is there any historical evidence that the architect of the DoD Pentagon visited Italy before he designed the DoD Pentagon? There is a much older one (1733-1743) located in the harbour of the Italian city of Ancona, see http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_Vanvitelliana . If he knew that one it might have been not just the shape of the surrounding streets that led to the chosen form. Kind regards from a German visitor of both buildings... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.114.87.158 (talk) 14:01, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Grammar Question

"The Pentagon is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, located in Arlington County, Virginia. " Why headquarters and not headquarter?-- And Rew 16:49, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Hall of Heroes

Google thinks there's a Hall of Heroes in the Pentagon. Is it a secret? --Pawyilee (talk) 07:24, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

A hatlink...

doesn't make sense in this case. A user would rather type "Pentagon" to search for the defense ministry building than "The Pentagon" just because it is far more convenient to leave out the article. --00:22, 4 February 2011 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.205.7.91 (talk)
