The parlotones

The parlotones page is almost right but there should be

  • a redirect from the word "parlotones" to "the parlotones"
  • second the band image is placed incorrectly in the artical

The biography section is a mess

It is a random collection of information - mostly about the band's recent/current activities. It is meant to be a chronological history of the band. It should start with how/when/who/where of the band's founding. "Latest releases" should be mentioned last, not first. Roger (talk) 06:43, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Worse, it seems to be largely a copyvio from http://www.sanjose.com/the-parlotones-the-daylights-farewell-typewriter-e1276501 which seems like a good source, by the way. I cleaned some of it up, and removed the rest of it. 77.248.138.31 (talk) 17:40, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the article history you will see it's not a copyvio. In fact it's a reverse copyvio - this article is the original and the sanjose.com site copied it from here without crediting us. (I even recognise some of my own writing on the sanjose.com page.)
Most of the biography section (before you deleted most of it) was created by a single editor in 30 or so edits during the first half of December 2010 - you can see it in the article history. But it was such a huge mess anyway that your deletion is a big improvement. Now we can begin rebuilding the bio properly - in a logical and chronological sequence - while adding proper cites as we go. Roger (talk) 18:35, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Stuff seems a little hard to find. If you happen to find any decent sources on formation, or actually anything pre-2005 that would be great. Or anything decent other than album reviews actually. I started the improvement process with a new lede and two sections. I believe there need to be a separate discography article and we need to delete the awards and nominations section (no international bands have it, I completed it but it needs to be destroyed).

Here are the headers (and section content) the article should use:
