Thomas Hardy died in 1928. This work is out of copyright. My link is merely a source. Narky Blert (talk) 02:25, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

True, but you might want to consider moving the text of the poem to Wikisource instead. Hut 8.5 21:47, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Hut 8.5: Agreed, but I've never yet tried uploading anything to Wikisource. I have no wish to do so if there might be any copyright problems (I am a retired IP lawyer). I'd prefer a better source than Poetry Foundation, which does strike me as a somewhat iffy site. I failed to find "The Oxen" in Gutenberg. How sound is Bartleby.com on copyright issues? I could look there - or in other trustworthy sites, if you can recommend any. Narky Blert (talk) 22:21, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, they already have it. If the poem really was published in 1915 then I don't think it matters where you get it from, as long as the text is accurate and they don't use some novel arrangement. Hut 8.5 06:45, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Hut 8.5: Good one, that'll do nicely:) Am I alone in thinking that Wikisource can be a PITA to search? Narky Blert (talk) 21:09, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not completely ;) Hut 8.5 06:43, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
