- Thanks, it's a great book! Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:17, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
Good Article review progress box

- Lead's too short and does not cover what reviewers thought of the book, as well as the movie.
- Extended.
- "drug taker" Never heard anyone use this phrase, "drug user" or addict would be more conventional.
- Done.
- "RSPB" Full name.
- Spelt out.
- The Reception section just sounds like a bunch of quotes from different reviews strung together by review. I would recommend cutting down on the quotes, which there are far too many of, and organizing the section by particular themes that different reviewers commented upon (such as its descriptions of nature, personal nature, and treatment of drug addiction).
- Paraphrased several quotations; however, if we're to report on what critics said, we do rather need to quote them in their own words explicitly, so that readers get at least a glimpse of the different critics' views of the book.
- Reorganised into three headings; since most of the critics mentioned at least two of them, this has necessitated splitting up each of the reviews.
- "awarded "to the work that best reflects renowned nature writer Alfred Wainwright's core values of celebrating the great British outdoors" You could just use the phrase our article on the prize uses, which is "best work of general outdoors, nature and UK-based travel writing".
- Done.
- "In January 2022...and Liptrot." way too long, split up into two sentences.
- Done.
- Any updates on what became of the movie?
- Not yet.
- Refs 17 and 18 have formatting errors.
- Fixed both.
- Images are properly licensed and used (although we happen to have a much better corncrake photo available).
- Noted, and replaced image.
- Spot-checks:
- "Hollywood star Saoirse Ronan heads for Orkney for adaptation of recovery memoir The Outrun". The Scotsman. Verifies all claims made.
- "Past Prizes: 2016". wellcomebookprize.org. Wellcome Book Prize. Retrieved 18 July 2023. Verifies all claims made.
- Johnstone, Doug (10 January 2016). "Amy Liptrot, The Outrun: 'Orkney: the perfect cure for a life on the edge', book review". The Independent. Verifies all claims made.
- Noted.
- That's what I got. AryKun (talk) 14:01, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
