One of the great weaknesses of Wikipedia is the tendency for contributors to quickly attach precast generic Wiki blurbs to articles before the article is read. Almost one month before the mysterious and anonymous “63.228.93.76” inserted the standard blurb about needing evidence of the importance of the piece, a section had been created which was titled, hold your hat!, “The Importance of The Orange Show” Maybe “63.228.93.76” needs to slow down and actually read the piece before slinging judgment
Since the importance of the Orange Show was addressed a month before “63.228.93.76” stumbled across this page, I am taking the liberty of removing the blurb due to the fact that it is painfully obvious when the section says: “The Importance of The Orange Show” it pretty much addresses “The Importance of The Orange Show” Cletus J. I can appreciate that as I have had the same problem. People attacking me have simply loaded up the blurbs and challenged absolutley everything especially importance issues. This is done because it is easy and very time consuming to argue because one has to go running around justifying everything in ones existence. One of the blurbs that has come on to my page: Hutman Artcars is one asking me to put links on related page which sends the reader to my page on my artcars. So what other pages in the wiki would be relevant- could think of this one. Could it be possible for you to add a link to my page or if a time goes by and it has not been discussed or done I could do it-no objections of course....
The Link would be:
wikipedia:Hutman ArtcarsWith a discription in the text something like....here are examples of artcars which have taken part in the Artcar Parade
Thanks very much for your time. I am just trying to get the blurbs to go away.Conrad Jay Blade 22:08, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Never assume that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Blurb wars do not take place at encyclopedias. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.22.93.200 (talk) 01:28, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
