John C. Riker
[edit]I'm trying to wrap my head around all the info we've separately found. From this link, John C. Riker looks like a publisher, not necessarily a proprietor. I'm making some guesses here but I'll see if I can substantiate it. --Midnightdreary (talk) 22:03, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have been trying to link Griswold to The Opal, most don't mention him at all. (only the link that was written by Poe) but I'm still looking. - Epousesquecido (talk) 03:39, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- I got the Griswold/Opal connection from Griswold's biography by Joy Bayless which, unfortunately, is no longer at hand and would take two weeks to get through inter-library loan (it's not particularly common). That link, by the way, I got from the Elizabeth F. Ellet page if you want to try directly from there. (Just checked; doesn't seem to be working. Page might be down temporarily?) --Midnightdreary (talk) 03:48, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
