Participating Bands
[edit]Would this be for the top 10 or the top 40 (or whatever number)? Cause if it's for the top 40, some of the bands are in this video here: Videos / Exclusive Access / The Next Great American Band - Promo Video FufuTofu 21:34, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Weekly Themes
[edit]Great job on the listing of songs performed! Does anyone have thoughts about where to put each week's theme? You know, "songs by Bob Dylan", "songs by Elton John and Bernie Taupin", and "songs by Billy Joel"? You do agree that it would be good to have, don't you? --luckymustard 18:58, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Elimination Table
[edit]Couldn't we combine this table into the performance table we have already because the only new information it brings is the "Place" column, otherwise all of that information is already in the previous table. - zachinthebox (User • Talk) 21:22, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Speaking of the elimination table, what happened to it? It just disappeared. Someone should bring it back.Yoshiman64 (talk) 01:49, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- I combined it with the performance table to make the
"episodes""Top 12" table. It didn't really add any new information by itself, so I just added a column to the performance table for the rankings and now the article is smaller. - zachinthebox (User • Talk) 02:11, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Other participating bands
[edit]I think that either we should remove this section or have a source for each band because since there is not one source in the section, I could easily make up a band name, add it to the list, and no one would know the difference. I've seen bands being added in one or two at a time and there's no way for anyone to know if they actually auditioned for the show. - zachinthebox (User • Talk) 16:37, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Someone should watch the first aired episode again and make a list of all bands that were named as ones who performed in the final audition rounds and only those should be listed. This would eliminate any adding names that were not there. (PS - I've never posted to a talk page before, so apologies if I did it wrong) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.46.155 (talk) 00:05, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, does anyone have the episodes and/or the time to do that? If not I'm thinking the section will be deleted. - zachinthebox (User • Talk) 19:22, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know how to reply to this discussion so I will use the edit feature. The list developed was made from watching the first aired episode as suggested by paragraph 2 above. Therefore, the list is legit and should stay!
- Thats the correct way to reply, but it still needs a source, not just "I watched the first episode". - zachinthebox (User • Talk) 19:31, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Is there a better source than the Las Vegas episode itself? What more do you want? I suppose I could run my DVD while taking snapshots as each band's name appears on the TV screen and post the photo next to every band's name on this page. That would be a little ridiculous though now wouldn't it. Tell you what, how about you go watch a DVD of the first episode and then you can rest easy knowing that the list is not phony - since obviously you are the only one who is really concerned about it. Sheesh! One last thing I'll add. I will admit that a FEW of the bands named on this list did not get airtime on the Vegas episode. But you can also go to the Next Great American Band website and find their bands listed as well - some of which have photos. All of that to say...I was the one who created this list and I created it from two sources that should be enoug...A) the NGAB website itself and B) the Vegas episode itself. If those are not good enough sources, I don't know what would be. I think you are making too big of a deal out of it! I say...THE LIST STAYS! And I have it saved and will continue to post it if it gets taken down. If you need more assurance that these bands really did audition in Vegas...a little due dilligance on your part might be in order...as I know that if you really did the research...you WOULD find that all of the bands auditioned.
- I'm not saying that the first episode ISN'T a source, but rather just saying that you've watched it isn't verifiable. In order to provide a reference for this, the following TV citation template has to be filled out:
- {{cite episode | title = | episodelink = | series = | serieslink = | airdate = | season = | number = }}
- I've already commented it in to be filled out. - zachinthebox (User • Talk) 20:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
I really think this list should stay because I think the band Zombie Bazooka Patrol needs some kind of recognition. I know those guys. They made it through the first round (which you can see if you watch that episode) but the producers randomly decided that they did not want them on the show anymore. That just goes to show how impartial this show really was. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.77.139.254 (talk) 18:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
