Tregelles
[edit]The article says "Its preparatory school is called Tregelles". There is a Cornish Quaker family called "Tregelles". Is there any connection with the Prep School, please? Vernon White . . . Talk 08:18, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- User:Vernon39, It is probably named for Rachel Tregelles, an early head of the school. BTW the school website mentions Thomas Blackhouse as a refounder of the school in 1831; however, I suspect a typo for Thomas Backhouse (Backhouse being a prominent York Quaker family and Blackhouse seems to be otherwise unknown). --Erp (talk) 03:28, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
