The Monterays wikipedia page should not be deleted for a variety or reasons.
1. They are one of the longest running band in New York State, if not in rock and roll period.
2. Dan Elliot has distinguished himself as a singer of note with both The Belmonts and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Dan is in the doo-wop hall of fame with The Belmonts. If for anything else, this will be of interest to people who want to know about his work, pre-Belmonts, Glenn Miller, Livin' Ennd, et al.
3. This group has made numerous sound recordings, MP3's of which can be found on the internet and even made one chart record (on the cashbox charts).
4. The Monterays have been honored by their peers with a lifetime achievement award at the Syracuse, NY area SAMMY awards in 1996.
5. They are still active as performers and recording artists
There is an error in the article though. It states that in 1978, the Monterays played at the Beginning. This was not possible because the Beginning did not open until 1982, so either the year is wrong or the club is wrong.
