Rink In the Movie?
[edit]Is there any chance we could gather a list of the rinks the movie was filmed at? I recognized Parade Ice Gardens in Minneapolis, but there are more. Alec Marshall, 9:34 Central Time —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.216.249.229 (talk) 02:34, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
What's wrong with a detailed synopsis?
[edit]Everyone seems to be against having a summary of the story go much further than what one would see on an IMDB page for the movie. Granted, there are probably some elements to the movie that are best left out of a plot synopsis, but I've seen plenty of movie pages on Wikipedia that went into the same amount of detail about the plot as there was in the past, and there doesn't seem to be nearly as much criticism about the length of the article on those pages as there is here. Even other kids movies, such as The Princess Diaries, Home Alone, and Beethoven have lengthy summaries about their plots - far longer than what was written about The Mighty Ducks - and nobody seems to be voicing any complaints about them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.205.38.121 (talk) 11:44, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Change to Plot Summary
[edit]I'm changing the following line, 'The children's parents also voice their displeasure for working overtime to pay the money to enroll their kids in the league, only to see them take dives.' This is a misinterpretation of the scene. The father of the two boys was actually saying that he was giving up the chance to work overtime in order to come to his children's games, not that he needed to work overtime in order to be able to afford it. He was willing to give up overtime for to see his children play hockey, but not to see them take dives.
Why is there no mention of the plot strand involving eric and the angry/inaudible beaver who lives at the end of the road?
I feel like we are missing a trick by not including anything on what is basically the main 'theme' of the film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.82.198.157 (talk) 16:40, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
