Differences from Novel

I do think this is probably original research, but it was not very insightful research, so I have edited it. Heh. 173.174.85.88 (talk) 01:42, 13 August 2017 (UTC) Eric[reply]

Basil Zaharoff?

[edit]

The claim in this article that Dimitrios is based on arms-dealer Basil Zaharoff is impressively listed with three citations; however the first of these (the extract in the footnote mentions the author of the book cited by his full name, which makes me think it is actually written by an unnamed third-party, perhaps in a preface or introduction) makes it clear that it was an opinion held by Donald McCormick, and the extract ends tantalizingly with the words “…But a letter from…”, which would appear to be a negation of the proposition, or at least a counter to it. The other two citations merely repeat the claim, they don’t provided substance to back it up (and as they both post-date the first, may just be a reiteration of McCormick’s opinion). Is there enough to substantiate the claim to make it worth repeating here, or should it be marked as an opinion, rather than a fact? Jock123 (talk) 16:27, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
