Citation
[edit]The line about "Hindu Fruit pickers" does not have a citation. What is more, even if there was a citation, it is extremely unlikely that all the Indian origin people were Hindus. It is misleading. Hindus should be changed to people of Indian ancestry or should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ranban282 (talk • contribs) 19:59, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
The Hindu fruit picker reference comes from a New York Times article, "Notes from the Cinema Gold Coast", pX4, Oct 14, 1934 https://nyti.ms/2IMb9yE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.93.233.246 (talk) 02:46, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]I have just finished massively improving and expanding this article. I have spent roughly 5 hours of day on it. Because of this, I have re-nominated it for GA status. Jonas Vinther (speak to me!) 00:35, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
- 2017 update: a few years have now passed since I started editing this article. It has certainly improved. Although it was promoted to GA-status rather quickly, it failed its A-class review — the step before featured article nomination. I have some time in December to spend on editing Wikipedia articles, but I can't quite decide whether it's worth my time (insolent face). If I end up improving this article once again, I will do my very best to ensure it eventually will reach FA-status. A Christmast gift from me to the community and its readers perhaps? I know for sure I won't have time to be active in the new year. Just in case anyone wondered. Kind regards. Doctor Papa Jones • (Click here to collect your prize!) 08:08, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
Hitler quotation is not supported by referenced work.
[edit]German dictator Adolf Hitler told British Foreign Secretary Lord Halifax in 1937 that one of his favorite films was The Lives of a Bengal Lancer, which he had seen three times.[14] "I like this film because it depicted a handful of Britons holding a continent in thrall. That is how a superior race must behave and the film is a compulsory viewing for the SS."[14][15]
I'll try to sort this later. The Ivone Kirkpatrick book does not have a direct quotation from Hitler. And if you read the whole page that includes the anecdote, you discover that Kirkpatrick is actually reporting information he got from one of Hitler's flunkies during Halifax's visit to Berchtesgarden. There is no evidence in the book that Hitler told Halifax this directly. Further, Cliomuse, the website that is also referenced, is a secondary source too and doesn't look reliable to me.
- I have added some Hitler references. The one on Google Books does not have the 102 note available. The rest are taken from the Karl Wilhelm Krause article and I have not verified them. --Error (talk) 01:36, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
