Talk:The Listening (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello, Wikipedians. I do not have the time to fix this page and add the appropriate sources at the moment. However, I'd like to mention that The Listening was formed from some of the key members of the Rock N Roll Worship Circus, who are/were certainly a notable music group with multiple LPs, tours, reviews, etc. In a lot of ways, The Listening is a continuation/relabeling of that former band. As such, my understanding is that it may be notable despite the usual Wikipedia rules.

If you're reading this and can imporve the article to reflect such things, I'd appreciate it. I unfortunately cannot at the moment.

Thanks! Matt M.

The Listening

[edit]

I submit that The Listening is a distinct group from the Rock N Roll Worship Circus, not merely a continuation. While the RRWC did not "break up" for The Listening to emerge, stylistically and in terms of band members The Listening is very different from the RRWC. The Listening do not bill themselves as RRWC and have not for over four years now, even if that history is part of the band. It is incorrect to attribute the albums "The Listening LP" and "Transmission 1" to RRWC. Ryanro (talk) 20:26, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of missing sources and other issues

[edit]

Many missing sources still remain however, I have placed need citations in the approiate areas. This article also has other mistakes such as the mention of a hiatus despite there not being any indictation of one from years active. I will be working on this time to time to fix these issues.
