Minutes
My PVR recorded a 53 min segment on Disney Jr called "Return of the Roar". Is this just episode 0a or does that also include 0b? No lengths are mentioned on the episode guide. 184.146.6.191 (talk) 01:52, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- 0b is a preview episode that hasn't been released yet. Alex|The|Whovian 02:44, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
Chronological placement
That this takes place after the original Lion King is obvious since it stars Simba/Nala kid but I am wondering about the claim that this precedes Lion King II. What is the reasoning behind this? I don't see a source listed. How do we know it happens before Simba's Pride? Has anyone from Disney stated this?
What comes to mind is that Kiara is in this and she and Kovu fall in love during Simba's Pride. Do we know for certain she has not met Kovu? Is there dialogue to indicate this? I would not take the mere absence of Kovu to mean anything since he might just be off doing something.
Also where does The Lion King 1½ fall in this? I would assume that Lion Guard also takes place after this right? It appears to end only slightly after Lion King with them watching the film. If it does show Kiara as a cub then I don't think she'd be as old as in LG or LK2. 184.146.6.191 (talk) 21:27, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Friends of Kiara
Given they have the same descriptions, I think we should distinguish between them somehow. Even through a brief description of physical features since visually they are hard to tell apart. Kiara has a smooth head while they both have distinct hair styles on top, for example. Or eye color.
Personality wise, one is vain and wants beautiful claws and interfered with antelope tracking by getting caught on the log. She is injured (breaking a nail, which must have gone deep since she says it hurts) when the honeybadger rammed her from behind. --174.92.135.167 (talk) 05:30, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Assigned numbers
When I watch these on-demand, rise of Makuu is called episode 3 and dont judge a hyena is called episode 5. It is like when distributed that way they assign numbers based upon production code or something. Perhaps those are the true numbers and they simply air out of order. --174.92.135.167 (talk) 06:30, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
TV movie
Maybe The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar should have its own article, seeing how the TV series is out and confusion may arise. Regards, CoconutPaste (talk) 23:38, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
- Sure, it has a wikidata-item (D:Q21577191) and an own imdb-item. The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar is now a redirect and this version is not too bad. TheDragonhunter (talk) 15:55, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
List of episodes page
We don't know if it will go beyond one season, so no. What needs a separate episode page is Mickey Mouse as that's on its third season, and The 7D is also on its second season. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 13:13, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- I enjoyed Mickey Mouse when I can watch it but lately I don't get the live channels just the on-demand for some reason and MM isn't there, and 7D is... meh. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 23:52, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- That's all fine and good, but it wasn't meant as a personal discussion, it was to point out the actual episode list pages this could be done for. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 02:28, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
Dogo
This is the name of the jackal pup that Kion saves in Kupatana elebration if someone can add it. There is also a snoozing older male named Goigoi and an older female who turns out to be Reirei, Dogo's mom, who says Goigoi's Dogo's dad. Having seen this whole thing, I wonder if we should also search to see if any reliable sources have compared this episode to the recent European migrant crisis, could not help but draw parallels to it, although the Jackal mindset mirrors a lot of stereotypes a lot of countries have about some immigrant groups and the abuse of welfare and stuff. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 21:54, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Cast expansion
A recent change by a mobile IP should be discussed first since it involved removing a listed actor, changing the spelling of a character name, and introducing some suspicious grammar (an female).
Can we first get a source for the spelling being Mbuni instead of Mubuni? Also a source for the actor Kari Wahlgren rather than Russi Taylor.
As for Muhanga, his mate and Punda milia... are these recurring characters? Or are they 1-shot characters? I think a character usually has to appear in more than one episode for us to list them openly.
Until then, if we can verify the actors played them (in which ep?) we could create a hidden note to track the data until a second episode appearance could be verified. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 23:51, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
Having watched Zazu address Mbuni the ostrich in closed captions they do spell it without an A. Too bad voice isn't as nice as Twiga's. Speaking of whom the recurring chars section should mention she's female too, currently does not. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 21:56, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Misleading prod code reference
This does not belong in the column head. It misleads readers by saying "retrieved December 24" implying that every single prod code listed (including 109 for Fuli's New Family debuted February 19) were all present at that date, which is inaccurate. At best we know this was accessible February 22 based on its page, possible earlier if a version of the overview shows it. It was probably available earlier than this but we don't know when so going by the archive is the best possible assessment.
Please restore the individual cites for the prod codes so that people know when they were first released, with links to the individual pages instead of an overview page with a false access date in relation to the codes it is being used to support.
The same problem exists with citing zap2it for titles: how do we know "retrieved February 19" will apply to anything else this is used to support in the future? Zap2it has individual episode pages and each of them can have access dates associated with them for more accuracy to get a better idea of when zap2it first listed it, which is something useful to know. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 22:03, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Animation
is this (Traditional animation)or is it (flash animation)? it looks flash but the rest of the franchise is traditional — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.157.176 (talk) 20:54, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
It's actually animated in ToonBoom Harmony.[1] BeanoMaster (talk) 18:24, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
Home media section
Does the DVD release section look strange to anyone else? Whenever I look at it "edit preview" mode, it looks normal, but when I'm looking at the actual article, the chart looks broken. And there is also the name "Fuli Speeds Ahead" above the word release. Wikicontributor12 (talk) 03:01, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- And for some reason, whenever I look at this section, a source from "toonboom" appears at the bottom. Bizarre. Wikicontributor12 (talk) 03:04, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- ...Ok, everything looks normal in the article now. But it sure was weird fora while. Wikicontributor12 (talk) 02:35, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Who are the animators for the Lion guard?

Hyena Vacation
I've tired of removing info on episodes that haven't aired yet, because the rules only seem to apply to random lists, but I can't help but notice this episode, which says on the list it's set to air on July 20, has a rating! How is this possible, as we are only in May? -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 21:47, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
Is it a real episode?

Characters section
As with most cartoon pages, I think the characters need to be assessed. I want to mention first Scar's pride who are listed as recurring yet have not made a single appearance. Can it be noted that they're upcoming? The bulk of the problem is the "main" characters of the show. Obviously the Lion Guard themselves are the main characters, but outside of that no matter how important they were in previous stories, are the likes of Simba, Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, etc. really main characters, and not just supporting? -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 00:38, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
- We don't know what ever happened to the previous Lion Guard after Scar used the Roar on them when they didn't want to help him overthrow Mufasa. There might be some recurring character that appear in the show outside of the characters that appeared in the different media that is associated with The Lion King. As for the hyenas in the series, I am not adding any possible connections to the other Hyenas that Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed are associated with until further notice. Especially since we don't know if they will resurface at some point. --Rtkat3 (talk) 18:54, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- That doesn't really answer my question. I meant the new Lion Guard -- they are the main characters. After them, the rest are basically supporting. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 19:01, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Perhaps you can mention the characters from The Lion King and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride under an alumni section like how they did an alumni with some of the characters from Boy Meets World that resurfaced in the sequel series Girl Meets World. --Rtkat3 (talk) 19:07, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Alumni from the original Lion King sounds good. Not so much II since Alumni sounds like -return- but if the TV series happens before the second film then the TV series would actually be their first appearance. --174.92.135.167 (talk) 05:30, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
