Seems like the history section is a bit big and focuses on, well, the Late Show as a franchise rather than the late show with Stephen Colbert. Not suggesting necesarily removing it because it will be appropriate in scale to the article in 9 or 10 months and assumedly will fill out more appropriate details then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.99.66.42 (talk) 19:59, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
- All shows in this format give a brief history lession of the franchise. Grapesoda22 (talk) 19:30, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Update tag
I slapped this with an update tag as most of the information is four months old or older. In particular, it talks about a stalemate in knowledge of the show's format as of January 2015: does the stalemate still exist? pbp 16:42, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
Infobox image
Hi all, I would like to reach some kind of consensus WP:Consensus on an image that should be used for a logo in the infobox. We have unlimited options technically, but these two choices below are both on Commons and both can be representative of this page:
- File:Lateshow colbert logo.jpg
- File:Late Show with Stephen Colbert Logo (2015).png
- Transparent PNG is usually preferred, no matter what; JPG's must be converted to PNG/SVG to easily render and scale down no matter how the page is accessed, be it PC, mobile or console, or if the device has limited colors or pixels, which would wash out a solid image. - So you're saying File:Late Show with Stephen Colbert Logo (2015).png should be used in the ibox since it's been rendered in PNG and is transparent? livelikemusic my talk page! 14:01, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- That's what should be used, indeed. Not only that, the text is PD so all alone we have no issues with the PNG version. Nate • (chatter) 06:45, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- I'd change it back, but I am afraid of being reverted for making the change! livelikemusic my talk page! 15:07, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- My concern has certainly not been with the format, as PNG/SVG is definitely preferred for the render/scale issues mentioned. My concern is that as it sits right now the official logo for the show consistently has the blue background (making it part of the logo, not just the background). The PNG version is rendered to have a transparent (or when viewed in the article, white) background. To me, this is about losing the true representation of the image, not about using a JPG file. Is there a way to render the PNG/SVG file to include the blue background (not transparent), which would still be scalable? Garchy (talk) 15:42, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry to be bringing this back up, but what if we made the black text BLUE? And btw, where does it state that the logo for the show consistently has a blue background? livelikemusic my talk page! 21:29, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Narration
What does 'Narration' represent? Does it represent who announces the guests during the opening title, because that's changed this past week. By the way, does anyone know who does that voice now? dposse (talk) 00:00, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
Adding Joe Biden to notable episodes
His interview with Vice President Joe Biden is by far his most successful episodes and received high acclaim. Should this be added to the Notable Episodes section? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 02:14, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
Friday's
Seems like they are now just doing 4 shows a week with a repeat shown on Friday evenings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.175.61.40 (talk) 18:10, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
The Disappearing Woman Guitarist
This is probably not encyclopedia-worthy so I'll just throw it back here in Talk but on the first week or two (exact end date unknown) there was a female guitarist. A little online research says her name is Maddie Rice. But then she disappeared. I don't know anything about who makes up "Stay Human" and whether the folks seen on the show are only those who were part of that band all along or if the composition is flexible. I take it Ms. Rice was not part of Stay Human previously. Anyway, she was there and now she's not. Maybe it was a temp gig all along?

She was axed, reason being she was young, and CBS felt she did not have a good stage presence. The brave celery (talk) 02:44, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
