I'm not sure why this page needs to exist. It feels more like it's here to promote the tour, rather than be of a noteworthy addition to Wikipedia. No other major artists have separate tour pages. Scarfy (talk) 12:02, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of major artists have separate tour pages. See Category:Concert tours by artist. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 15:22, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The difference here is that the page you've created reads like an advert. I'm going to have to request that it is deleted and also to ask you to stop abusing your position as an editor, since it's starting to become ridiculous.Scarfy (talk) 18:09, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. A world tour that only lists the UK? The page can be recreated when there's actually something notable.Riksweeney (talk) 18:20, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Riksweeney, are you implying that the UK is not notable? Besides, it lists two countries, not one. Others haven't been announced yet. Scarfy, I am not abusing my position as an editor and I'm offended by that comment. I didn't even create this article. If you think it reads like an advert, either tag is as such, edit it so it doesn't, merge it to Leona Lewis or take it to AFD. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 13:51, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I know this was announced as a world tour, but it has been nearly four months since it was first announced and so far only dates for the UK and Ireland have been announced. Is this tour really going to go elsewhere? I know that Echo is not doing quite as well as Spirit did worldwide. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.19.251 (talk) 21:01, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bionic tour postponed

[edit]

The Bionic Tour has been postponed until further notice. Not sure what this means for Leona. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.19.251 (talk) 01:07, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It means she won't be supporting Christina this year. Beyond that we don't know. AnemoneProjectors 11:43, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Like i said i was there last night (but i dont think my attendance is a suitable source lol) and i personally wouldn't list the fact that the songs were covers (the links in the title names are indicative of this ... right?) I think the daft punk sample for the Michael Jackson video interlude is very important because it significantly changes the nature of the song. p.s. i've got a review coming soon on my personal page. Lil-unique1 (talk) 13:45, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I got this info from people tweeting from the concert :) Well, I agree about not listing that they're covers, though maybe we should say they're not songs Leona has recorded previously? Not sure about the Daft Punk thing, maybe we could. Put it back if you want. As you know we can't use your review but we can use this one. AnemoneProjectors 14:36, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes ok... i agree somewhere in the background we should say that as part of the set lists leona covered several other artists songs. I'm going to re-add the daftpunk thing though. Samples should be listed as per other major tours e.g. The Freedom Tour, I Am... Tour etc. Well yeah i know my review can't be used in the article but its there for any user who wants to know what the concert was like. It was amazing. i will post soon... on my personal page Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:07, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's still no source for the sample though. When you say your personal page fo you mean your Wikipedia user page or a personal website? Just wondered. AnemoneProjectors 00:13, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia page. i know it would be allowed. also i know it sounds silly but the sample could be heard on youtube records. In the interest of notability i will hide the information until a source can be found. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 13:27, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Questions about what content can be added.

[edit]

I found this interesting article Digital Spy - Leona says "i'll never sex up my act in which she explains a little bit about wanting to be like a princess when on tour and also she speaks about falling down a lift shaft during the tour. is this relevant?

Also i took some photos on tour, how can i upload them for use on wikipedia? it would really give depth to this and also to the album if they could be uploaded. Exactly like The Fame Monster. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 13:31, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

She didn't fall down a lift shaft did she? The lift malfunctioned on its way down and she had to jump off with her microphone. At least that's what I saw on youtube. Oh well, V not T, I guess. Don't see why that can't be added. Pictures from the tour would be great! You can upload them to Commons with a cc-by or cc-by-sa licence. AnemoneProjectors 13:58, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Im not sure i was close to the front and i didnt notice to be honest until i read that article. also whats a cc-by / cc-by-sa license? Lil-unique1 (talk) 14:29, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Leona said that she will never sex up her act like Rihanna or Lady GaGa but this is not relevant to the tour (the lift shaft is though) x Jagoperson (talk) 08:05, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Argh I just typed a really long reply and then lost it! I saw a youtube video - it was at the end of Run, right? One side of the platform didn't descend properly so Leona had to jump off it with the mic stand. CC-BY and CC-By-SA are both Creative Commons licences. You don't have to use those, there are others. Have a look at WP:ICTIC. I have lots of pictures on Commons but I always upload them to Flickr first and transfer them automatically, always licenced CC-By-SA. AnemoneProjectors 20:37, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see there were two malfunctions! One at Sheffield where you were and one at Liverpool which is what I saw on YouTube. Both have been reported in The Sun - it must be online somewhere. AnemoneProjectors 23:50, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The digital spy source up top mentions one in sheffield. Also i just wondered is it normal to include tour credits? i have a copy of the tour programme i will search through it if there are any interesting facts to put in the body of the article. The back of the booklet contains a list of personnel and credits e.g. the music studios where the background footage was shot, set designers, costume designers etc. is it normal to include this stuff? Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 21:56, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what other article include but it's certainly relevant information. By the way we have lots of pictures of the tour now because someone on Flickr licenced theirs cc-by. AnemoneProjectors 22:38, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was gonna do my own pics but they didnt come out brilliant because my phone is only 3 million pixels. i've uploaded one here [Leona Lewis (Live @ Sheffield) - Brave]. In regards to the tour credits i will post them in a section at the end of the article? I will pick the tour book up from my university halls when im back there tomorrow so i can add the tour credits from tuesday onwards. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 21:42, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's a shame. I doubt I could have done much better even though my camera is 9.2 million pixels because it only has 3x optical zoom. Never mind, we have some good photos of the tour. Yeah the end of the article is probably the place to post the credits just like an album's credits I guess. AnemoneProjectors 21:48, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Album credits are different. per WP:Albums they should appear after the track listing. However because this isnt the album it feels more approriate to place them after the tour dates. Also i feel like we should stop referring to this as a global tour. It is really a British tour with the possibility of becomming global, even though it was intially announced as a global tour a considerable amount of time has passed and so its becomming a bit of a WP:Crystal its kind of like we're saying its global because her management said so not because there are any global dates. Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:53, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I feel that the tour dates rather than the set list is the tour equivalent of a track listing anyway! Hmm, do reliable sources refer to it as a global tour? Maybe you're right though, maybe we shouldn't say it's a global tour until it looks like a global tour. AnemoneProjectors 00:03, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alex Gardner

[edit]

I just heard that Alex Gardner (singer) is supporting Leona for Birmingham (2nd date) instead of Cilmi but I've not seen a source for it. Cilmi apparently had other commitments for five dates including the Belfast and Dublin dates but no support for those have been mentioned yet. AnemoneProjectors 11:27, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I found a source for Gardner's support but nothing to say Cilmi had other commitments. AnemoneProjectors 19:56, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

cancelled?

[edit]

has the tour been cancelled? the sun says she quit —Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.83.42.131 (talk) 09:58, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tabloid reports say that she is no longer planning to tour Australia, Asia, Europe or America. But plans to tour these parts of the world were never announced anyway. Tabloids aren't the most reliable of sources. AnemoneProjectors 12:49, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

[edit]

Should we add any more reviews, since we only have ones for the opening night? Here's one for Cardiff[1] AnemoneProjectors 23:48, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

3 Other Tour Dates

[edit]

Leona performed the same set list at Rock In Rio in Spain in May 2010, and performed shortened set lists in Malaysia and Miami. I think these should be added to the Set List's and Tour Dates. I don't see why it should be a problem because 2 international dates for Mariah Carey's Angels Advocate Tour were added and they had different set lists (Egypt, Brazil, Malaysia) 80.5.210.187 (talk) 16:19, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
